A big shout out to Scott Central Football team who won their game against Taylorsville High School on last Saturday at Hattiesburg. They are now the state champions in their district.
Scott Central Football team was highly supported by the people of Scott County. There were people there at the game from all the schools in Scott County supporting the team. There were people who usually do not attend the local games, but they went that day to support the team.
Congratulations to Leslie Ross. He will graduate from Jackson State University with a Bachelors Science Degree on Friday at the University.
Midway M. B. Church will celebrate Christian Education Recognition Day on December 9, 2018. Dr. Locord Wilson will chair the program.
Midway M. B. Church Christmas Program will be the 4th Sunday, December 23 immediately after regular service.
Sympathy is given to the Strong and Evans family in the passing of Minnie Pearl Evans Strong. She was eulogized on last Thursday at Midway M. B. Church. Her nephew, Rev. Benard Kennedy the pastor of Harmony M. B. Church did the eulogy. The Mistress of Ceremony was Gloria Daniels. Her great nephew Deacon Tevin Nickols sang two songs. Her interment was in Midway M. B. Church Cemetery. Mapp Funeral Home was in entrusted with the arrangements.
Sympathy is given to the Thompson and Davis Family in the passing of Katie Thompson. Her services were held last Saturday at Mapp Funeral Home Chapel. She was eulogized by Apostle Robert Johnson, the pastor of Real Life Church of Hattiesburg, and House of Prayer of Lake. The Mistress of Ceremony was Bettye Earby. Her niece, Pam Harper Banks rendered a selection. Acknowledgements were read by Clotee Lee. Her interment was Lovelady Cemetery. Mapp Funeral Home was entrusted with her arrangements
