Carols by Candlelight
My family and I went to see “Noel, Carols by Candlelight 2018”. The program was sponsored by the First Baptist Church Jackson. The purpose of “Carols by Candlelight” was to share the good news of God’s love for us. It was their prayer that all glory be given to God alone.
The program was really wonderful. The young people did an excellent job with their singing and performance. The bell ringers were so good that you knew the songs they were in tune with their bells. The choir as well as the orchestra were top notch performers. Then there was the long horn blowers that were magnificent. It was really a wonderful program.
“Carols by Candlelight” will be broadcasts on WJTV on Christmas Eve at 11:30 p.m. and Christmas Day at 3:00 p.m.
The family all enjoyed a delicious meal in Pearl. Those attending were: Dr. Locord Wilson, Tom Wilson, Delie Shepard, Charles McClendon, Billy Watts, Leslie Ross, Laboris Ross and his friend, Christina McDaniel, Camari Brimlett, Kardeshia McDaniel, Dr. Lorraine Dozier, Jordan Riley, Joseph Page, Daylan Page, and Jennie Clay.
Midway M.B. Church Christmas Program will be the 4th Sunday, December 23rd. Lunch will be served.
Remember our sick and shut in in the community. Chiquita McClendon-Myers, Roger Johnson, Mattie Holifield, Doris Holifield, Linda Parrot, David Parrot.
Remember Juanita Banks. She called and told me to tell everyone she is doing okay. She now resides in a care facility in Brandon. She would enjoy any calls or visits from her family or friends.
Rev. Larry “Popcorn” Brewer preached at Union Grove M. B. Church on last Sunday according to his grandmother Juanita Banks.
Diane Banks shared the information about “Safety Helmet Give Away” in Meridian, Wednesday December 19th, 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. You have to bring your child ages 3-12 for them to be fitted for the free helmet. For further information contact MS Dept. Of Rehabilitation.
Sympathy to the Bender, Evans and Qualls family in the passing of Fannie Bender. Arrangements are incomplete at my press time. All arrangements are entrusted to Holifield Funeral Home.
Sympathy to the Morris Family in the passing of Margaret Morris. Her services were held last Monday. Her interment was MS Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Mapp Funeral Home.
