Mrs. Bessie Ruth McCarter, the wife of the late Rev. Sammy McCarter was laid to rest last Saturday at McCarter Church Cemetery in Steel Town. Holifield Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.

Midway Freewill Baptist Church will be hosting a Benefit/Love Program for Pastor Cory Bender and First Lady Takeya Bender. Pastor Cory Bender is battling Kidney Disease and in need of a Kidney. The Program will be Saturday March 30th at 6:00 p.m. The program will include a sit-down dinner, fashion show and entertainment. We are calling all singers, musicians, models, Christian comics, choirs and Quartets of all ages.
