Thanks to the preparers
Midway M. B. Church Father’s Day Banquet was held immediately after church service. The food was well prepared and delicious. There was plenty prepared. Thanks to the preparers: Delie Shepard, Annie Stowers, Alice McCarter, Sylvia Kennedy and Dr. Lorraine Dozier. Decorating tables was Patty Odom.
The Father’s Day Program chairman and co-chairman were Shelia White and Nikki McClendon. The Father’s Day Program was presented during regular service. The fathers were given neck ties, glass mugs and other items.
Midway M. B. Church is participating in the Crudup Ward summer Feeding Program. Meals will be served daily, 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Every child is welcome to come and participate in the program.
Dr. Lorraine Dozier and her sister Jennie Clay spent last week in St. Louis. Dr. Dozier attended a conference. They did a lot of sight seeing when time permitted. They sent many beautiful pictures of the sights that they saw.
George Beamon’s daughter and his grandchildren were home for Father’s Day from Plano, Texas. Very glad to see them at church. Some say she looked so very like her grandmother Everlene Beamon.
Sympathy to the Lewis family in the passing of Michael Lewis. Michael Lewis arrangements are entrusted to Mapp Funeral Home. His arrangements are incomplete at my deadline.
Sympathy to the family of Hisham Abbas Mohamed Elnaham. He was eulogized on Monday last. His interment was at Mississippi and West Alabama Islamic Center Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Holifield Funeral Home.
Sympathy to the Butler and Brown family in the passing of Johnny Lue Butler Brown. She was eulogized on last Saturday at Little Rock M. B. Church. Her interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Mapp Funeral Home.
Sympathy for the Dotson Family in the passing of Ruthie Dotson. She was eulogized on last Saturday at Jerusalem Temple in Philadelphia, MS. Her internment was at Mars Cemetery in Philadelphia. Arrangements were entrusted to Mapp Funeral Home.
