Many help prepare meals
Midway M. B. Church Christmas Program was held December 16 at 6:00. The program, skits and the song was a great success. Refreshments were served.
Delie Shepard enjoyed last Sunday dining with her family at Penn’s Fish House. Those in attendance enjoying their pre-Christmas meal and birthday meal were: Eric Ross, and Brenda Townsend Ross. Those enjoying a Pre-Christmas meal were Tom Wilson, Dr. Locord Wilson, Leslie Ross, Marty Shepard, Xhavier Shepard, Joshua Ross, Laboris Ross, Dejerrious Black, Alma Kazic, Nola Brooks, Alexiah Shepard, Adam Shepard, Innaius Shepard and Khaleb Shepard.
Since this is Christmas time, Midway Church has taken on the endeavor of preparing a meal each day for their pastor and family. Those who have participated are: Delie Shepard, Patty Odom, Annie Stowers, Mandy Ree McBeath and family, Trudy Denson and her family, Pastor’s Aide, Constance McClendon, Lorraine Dozier and Jennie Clay, Tosha and Tyrone McClendon, Alice Hawkins, Maxine Gilmore, Shelia White, D’Arcy and Carol Stowers, Janie McClendon and Iris McClendon Rush, Wayne Williams, George Beamon, LaBoris Ross and Leslie Ross, Delie Shepard and Brittni Black, Mission Ministry, Sylvia Kennedy, Youth Department, Verneda McClendon and the final meal is by Jerry and Chenelle McBeath. The meals have been really appreciated by the pastor and his family. I also really appreciate everyone’s help in making this a great endeavor.
Happy Birthday to, Jennie Clay 22, Ryan Shepard 23, Dr. Lanee Riley 25, and Brandon Jimerson 26.
The Century Family Reunion will be held at Roosevelt Park, June 22 and 24, 2018. Saturday Night events will be held at Reach One on One in Forest. We are gearing up for great attendance. The Reunion is at home where all the people originated from that started the reunion in the Sixties.
Jerome Banks has been in the hospital. Remember him in your prayers.
Wendy Bell has been in the hospital. She is out and have returned to school.
Others on our sick list consists of Betty White Flowers, Mack Arthur Robinson, Percy Shepard, Doris Holifield, Katie Mae Kincaid, Mattie Holifield, Maggie Smith, Freda Ward, David Parrott, Linda Parrott, Vasherer Ficklin and Nettie Kennedy.
