To: Beverly Beatty Boozer and her husband, Dr. Drayton Boozer of Albuquerque, NM, natives of the Pulaski community, graduates of Morton High School, on being featured in the “foundations” publication of the Mississippi State University Foundation. Travelin’, visitin’ and such: The Morton area citizens and Morton Public Library/Friends of Morton Library, were well represented at the wonderful presentation of the photography of Jeff Baldock in celebration of National Library Week. The loaded tables of refreshments, fellowship and amazing program exhibiting Jeff’s pictures was a wonderful experience. Many in attendance were privileged to receive one of his photos or calendars, so generously donated by him to some lucky person there.
Sittin’ and thinkin’: This reporter and members of the Morton MHV Club are sad due to the death of the club’s very efficient, dedicated Treasurer, Jennie Ruth Patrick. She and her surviving spouse, John Wesley Patrick were both members of the organization and always contributed to the successful completion of the many local, county and state projects on the roster of responsibilities for Morton MHV. As an officer and member she will be greatly missed by her “Club Family”. May God’s loving comfort be with her family and friends.
