Announcements: We Care Mission Food Distribution for March will be held at Fellowship Hall of Morton United Methodist Church, 29 Church Street, on Friday, March 8 and Friday, March 22 from 10 a.m.-12 noon.
A word of appreciation goes out to the members of MSU/Scott County MHV, hosts of the recent 5-County/Sub District Meeting on providing 91 “Cuddly Comfort Creatures” (stuffed animals) to the Morton and Forest Police Departments for distribution to children in traumatic situations. These donations were the assigned service project for this event. Leake and Rankin also took their donations bact to their respective Police Departments.
Also, a sincere “thank you” to The Scott County Times for the Profiles 2019 publication. It was truly inspiring to find so many interesting facts about our friends and neighbors, some that we did not know yet, but now feel them to be family. The choice of featured individuals was thoughtful and found to be excellent citizens to be in the spotlight.
