On November 3, 2019, our morning message was brought by Rev. Marcus McDougle scripture reference 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, with the subject Prayer Warriors.

Food For Thought: Full Loads, Empty Pockets reminds me of doing laundry. You find so many things in pockets that just overflow. You know, just like full pockets we carry around our worries, fears anxieties and doubts from week to week without really noticing them. Suddenly the accumulated weight becomes too much, and we break under the strain.

We need to develop the habit of emptying our pockets, so to speak. We must spread out our feeling before the Lord, prayerfully sort things through, and ask him to dispose of the trash. In so doing we will discover that we have exchanged our spirit of despair for a garment of praise.
