Congratulations To: Perry Monta Fletcher II on scoring a 20 on his ACT that he took in November 2019. Perry (PJ) is a 7th grader at Brandon Middle School, he is the son of Rev. Perry Fletcher and DaVida Fletcher, grandson of David and Betty Earby and Rufus and Linda Bland.
Prayers For: Our Country, special prayer for Janice Hill (hospitalized in Las Vegas) cousin of Jimmie Lewis. Sympathy Love and understanding to the family of David Moore (Las Vegas) also cousin of Jimmie Lewis, keeping the Lewis family in our prayers during this very difficult time.
Food For Thought: On March 29, 2020, Rev. Marcus McDougle taught Sunday School outside as he did on the previous Sunday. Due to COVID-19 our lives have change dramatically, nevertheless serving God is still going on. We know the building is not the church. The church is within us. So, if you gather under a tree, in a parking lot etc; as long as you are gathered.
Matthew 18:20. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Lesson today Justice for All. We are blessed to live in a country that was founded, in principle, on the premise of freedom and justice for all. As a part of the community of faith, we see corrupt leadership in all areas of society.
Just as in Malachi’s days if you remember, the spiritual leaders were guilty of failing to honor God and of profaning His name. Their unfaithfulness caused the people not to take right and wrong seriously. The same thing is going on in our days. Please be safe and adhere to the CDC Guidelines.
