Food For Thought: Have you ever noticed that the longer you put something off, the more difficult it is to get started? We love putting things on the back burner. Doing this can add to the frustration and unhappiness in our lives that we could avoid. We can manage much better if we keep moving forward. The moment we stop and sit down to rest the burdens we are carrying become heavier. The distance to be traveled seems greater, and the work becomes much more unpleasant. It’s moments like these that lead us to believe there’s just no way of overcoming our circumstances, of digging out. There is no growth personal or otherwise without effort, and effort means work. We have to keep working together to overcome.
