Independence Day 2018
Independence Day, which is also referred to as the 4th of July is a Federal Holiday. Barbecues, fireworks, big retail sales, picnics, baseball games etc. are all things we tend to do on this day. Independence Day evokes so many images of the American summer.
Take a minute to think about why we celebrate this day. The original purpose was to celebrate the birth of the American Nation on July 4th, 1776. This day has given way to festivities that celebrate both America and the lives and freedom that the accomplishments of American Independence have allowed.
The commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is a time not only to reflect on what happen at America’s founding but also to look at the nations values and recommit ourselves again to those ideals. Let’s not forget thousands laid down there lives so that our country breath this day never forget their sacrifice.
Happy Independence Day!
