Back to School 2018
Announcements: Pleasant Gift M.B. will host a Fellowship Conference Services on September 15th 2018 at 9:00 a.m. with breakfast being served at 8:00 a.m. Speakers will be Jackie McDougle, Demetra Brown and Apostle Bonnie Morgan.
Pleasant Hill M.B. Church is in revival this week Wednesday night speaker will be Rev. Eric Jones, Thursday night speaker will be Rev. Ralph James. Services will begin each night at 7:00 p.m.
Congratulations To: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Patrick this lovely couple is celebrating their anniversary this week, sixty plus years.
Prayers For: Cleveland Nichols, Rev. Les Brandon, Dianne Deering Rev. Neal Keeton. and Steve Deering. Sympathy to the families of William Flanigan and Essie Lee Newell.
Food For Thought: As you know School and Universities are back in session. This means new friends for some, others are leaving the nest for the first time giving you the ability to come and go without adult supervision.
Be careful who you choose to hang around with not everyone will have your best interest at heart. Sometimes it’s better to be alone than in the wrong company. Don’t allow unproductive people to give you counsel. Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing to the solutions because those who never succeed themselves are always first to tell you how to. Not everyone has a right to speak into your life. You are certain to get the worst of the bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person.
Don’t follow anyone who’s not going anywhere. When you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life make sure it’s with someone who has a goal in mind and a path to get there. Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships. Never make someone else a priority when you are only an option for them. Be sure to let God lead you in everything you do. Enjoy this School Year.
