Food For Thought: People come into our life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. It’s up to us to figure out which. When someone is in our life for a Reason, it is usually to meet a need we have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist us through a difficulty, or to provide us with guidance and support, to aid us physically, emotionally, or even spiritually.
They seem like a godsend to us and they are. They are there for a reason, we need them to be. Then without any wrong doing on our part or at an inconvenient time, this person may disappear from our life. The prayers we sent up have been answered. When people come into our life for a season, it is because our turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They may bring with them experience or teach us something we didn’t know. Like Spring turns to Summer, Summer to Fall, Fall to Winter the season eventually ends. Lifetime, relationship teach us a lifetime of lessons: those things we must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Our job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what we have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in our life.
