Pleasant Hill Church is the mother church in the Morton Community. It is known as the mother church because as far as records show, it is the first black church to be built in the Morton area. Pleasant Hill was founded in 1892. Thanks to all committees. Your hard work, consistency, and patience. To everyone who made this day a success.
Food For Thought: Today we give thanks and appreciation to the people that have blessed our lives. People that are deceased, but still live on in each of us, too many to name, but will never be forgotten. We give them special respect for their wisdom, their understanding, and prayers.
Today we honor and recognize our deceased members. We pay tribute to all our pioneers and icons. As we celebrate our 125th year Church Anniversary. Your memories, we will always treasure. You are loved and missed beyond words. You will always be the sunshine of our lives. Taken from the Anniversary Program.
