Remember Pearl Harbor Day
December 7th was the day to remember Pearl Harbor. We must never forget those men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Sometimes we take it for granted! Shame, shame on us! It was so touching to see the survivors, ages 98 on up, shedding tears while being interviewed on national news.
“From 1999 to 2014 Ukraine donated more money to the Clinton Foundation than any other foreign country. Biden, Pelosi, Kerry and Romney all had children working for the Ukrainian gas companies. All the people mentioned want President Trump impeached. Are you connecting the dots? (Educating Liberals)”
This weekend my washer and dryer both took some time off. Things that fail to work always pick the worse time to do so. I made a visit to the new “Suds” Laundry Mat in town. I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice and clean it is. It was rather busy on a Sunday afternoon. An added bonus is a surveillance camera scanning the parking area. While you wait you can see that your car is safe.
While I was waiting for laundry to dry, I met a couple that the man is working with the construction crew on Raytheon’s expansion project. He has been here over 12 months and will be here probably that much longer. If you have not driven by that facility, in a while, you will be shocked to see what is going up. We are so fortunate to have this company here in our county. Their buildings have swallowed up Sunbeam’s facility. The only thing that looks like that building is where the offices were with Sunbeam. I spent 16 years there with Sunbeam and it makes my heart sing to see all that is now going on.
EBC News: Our Kings Kids performance of “Good News Ahead” is at 6 PM on December 15th. We will have a meal following their performance. (These Kids will sing a preview song in the morning service.)
Prayers needed: Harry Culpepper, Sue Croxton, Keith Jones, Joyce Everett, Rosella Wicker and Ronnie Haralson. Sincere sympathy to the families of Ann Emmons and Patricia Wolfe Van Tugen in the loss of their loved ones.
“Cowboy Motto, If it’s of no use, don’t take it! If it’s not true, don’t say it! If it’s not right, don’t do it!”
People from states with nice roads may never understand what it’s like hitting a pothole so hard that your soul leaves your body. For a moment, you feel you have an obligation to audibly apologize to your car! Just drive down some of our country roads or North State Street in Jackson to know what it’s like!
“A flock of 600,000 ducks appeared on National Weather Service radar near McGregor Minn. recently. According to the NWS, Deluth office, Meteorologists thought they saw a plume of smoke, from a fire, on radar. They were having a Water Fowl survey that determined the number in the air.” I would have hated to be underneath that flight. Years ago, while working in Jackson, I had to walk to the Post Office and got hit by pigeons poop on top of my head! Not a good feeling! That caused me to run home to clean up!
I was driving in my neighborhood today and saw a deer with a big rack. Somebody, that is fortunate enough to harvest him, will have some good eating! That made the following come to life. According to the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game, “While both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, males drop their antlers at the beginning of winter. Female reindeer, however, retain their’s until they give birth in the spring. Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa’s reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolph to Blixen had to be a female! We should have known this. Only women would be able to drag a ‘fat man’ in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost!”
If the devil can’t make you bad, he will make you busy! No time for prayer, No time for Bible reading, No time for devotional, No time for evangelism, No Time for Church. But, has all the time for other things! (The narrow Gate). I have experienced, with my daughters, they never thanked us for all the horse shows, ball games, band concerts, etc. that we carried them to, but have thanked us for their being brought up in church! I am so happy that it has been a chain reaction with them and now with their children’s families!
I do not need a housekeeper to keep my house clean! I just need a friend to text me and say they’ll be stopping by in 20 minutes!
Let’s pray for America. God, we unite to invite You to please move in every sector of society. We want to welcome You in our homes, our schools, our churches, our workplaces, our centers of entertainment and the economy. We need you!
