Weather Woes!
A big thanks to Central Electric Power!
Last week’s weather was such a shock to me, how about you? I had just told relatives in California that we get warnings so much it’s like crying wolf and nothing happens. I ate my words later that night! I expected all my windows to be cracked, but was blessed at daybreak. No major damages!
We did have damages in the community with roofs, downed trees and loss of power for a couple of days, for some. Central Electric did a great job getting power back on! Their crews had their work cut out, replacing poles and rebuilding some lines. If you see any of them be sure to tell them you appreciate them!
Reminder: On March 3, 1966, the Candlestick Park Tornado struck! It had two tornadoes in one, according to pictures taken. It picked up two nursing homes and sat them back down, about 200 yards from where they were sitting. The path length was 202.5 miles and max. width was 900 yards. Total number of casualties were 58 and injuries 518.
Do you remember the Catholic teenager, Nicholas Sandman, in 2019 that was falsely accused by the mainstream media of harassing a Native American Activist? March for Life will file new lawsuits against five additional media companies. — including a $250 million dollar suit against the Washington Post. Last month CNN settled a $250 million dollar suit with the teen! His legal team says, it’s not about the dollar amount, but to deter the press from smearing others in the future! From all that I remember seeing, I certainly must agree the press was wrong. This boy stood up, with that man in his face, without one word. At least, that was what I saw!
Newsweek.com reported that Virginia Democrats walked out during an opening prayer when a church pastor warned of God’s wrath over abortions and gay marriages. His words were: “Please do not provoke His anger upon this state by what you create as law. Biblical history is very clear, His wrath upon the earth is documented. We are not exempt!”
Fire Ants — Fire ant mounds are only a hint of what’s below. Vast underground nests include tunnels that reach 25 feet down from the mounds. Queens rule in their colonies as they live many years. They can lay up to 800 eggs per day. That’s an additional 11,000 to 17,000 mature ants every two to three weeks. Mature ants only live about 5 weeks, but there are always replacements, because of the reproductive abilities of the queens. Left unchecked, populations can soar to 40 million ants per acre! This is why we can not get them under control!
Helping one person might not change the world, but it could change the world for that one person!
“President Trump donated his quarterly check ($100,000) to the office of the Asst. Sec. of Health and HHS to fund the Cornavirus preparedness and response activity, according to his Sec. Alex Azar.”
Recipe for hand sanitizer: 2/3 cup rubbing alcohol (99% isopropyl alcohol is perfect). And 1/3 cup of Aloe Gel. Stir ingredients and put in clean bottle. If you want it to smell good, just add a few drops of essential oils. (Some websites suggest using vodka instead of rubbing alcohol. This isn’t entirely true, you’ll need at least 60% alcohol to kill bacteria!)
It is the Law of Common Sense. If too many people enjoy the “Free Ride” — and not enough people help pull, the wagon isn’t going anywhere!
