Pandora’s Box
Sad days with the #18th School Shooting happening this year! In my mind, this must be one of the hardest things a parent would have to face. There are many “fix-it” ideas being suggested to keep this from happening. I liked Samuel Jackson, American Actor’s, statement. “I don’t think it’s about gun control. I grew up in the South with guns everywhere and we never shot anyone. This (shooting) is about people who have never been taught the value of life.”
Rand Paul said “The only thing that can deter a crazy person with a gun is a sane person with a better aim.”
I am not against saving exotic creatures, snails, turtles, etc. America spends billions of dollars keeping their species alive — but saving human life should be put on the top of the list! A very old saying goes like this — when Pandora has been let out of the box you can’t put it back again! Many suggest gun control, putting former service personnel, who can not find a job, in schools; putting retired able body law enforcement personnel in schools and have teachers who get certified “to carry guns” in schools. This slaughter has to stop!
This week ABC Television network let the women on “The View” attack V.P. Mike Pence for his statement — “I am a Christian, I love Jesus, I talk to Him and He talks to me!” Joy Behar said, “it’s one thing to talk to Jesus. It's another thing when Jesus talks to you...that’s called mental illness.” I never watch their show purposefully, but it just happened that my TV was on and I heard their conversation that day! One journalist said if they had said that about a Muslim they would have been shut down in a minute!
V.P. Mike Pence said, “It’s just wrong! It’s an insult, not to me, but to the vast majority of American people who, like me, cherish their faith. My Christianity is the most important thing in my life!”
“When my people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.” (II Chronicles 7:14)
