One million moms
taking a stand!
OMM protests to TV advertisers paid off in stopping broadcast of three shows recently! They are Anti-Christian — Impastor Series, ABC’s The Real O’Neils and Dating Naked! These have been cancelled!! OMM Director, Monica Cole said, “When you give Mothers the information, they are a force to be reckoned with!” (Visit. Onemillionmoms.com)
I remember when television came to our part of the country, many church Pastors said this would be the worst thing that could be brought into our homes! We thought, how could “I Love Lucy” “Gun Smoke” etc. possibly be bad? Now we see that they were so right! Anything goes, no matter what time of day on T.V.
“When I was growing up, we were taught stories of people whose inventions and scientific discoveries had expanded the lives of millions of other people. Today, students are being taught to admire those who complain, denounce and demand.” This past week we saw the many, many school children marching, demanding change in the gun laws in honor of their fallen classmates and friends. We have to admire them for marching in honor of their friends, but only now we know this was an undermined organized event. I wondered how this could suddenly happen all over the country and in other countries as well? It goes to show that a great force is behind the turmoil in our land!

Week before last, Zettie Walters and I attended the Norris Homemaker Quilter’s “Showing” at Mississippi Care Center of Morton. They had a sampling of their more than 100 baby quilts that they made for Blair Batson and Ronald McDonald House, plus larger quilts. It is hard to describe the beauty that all their work portrayed. They are like looking at a picture as each one is different and the colors are so bright and colorful. They contribute this amount each year to one of the above facilities. “Hats Off” to this group of ladies in all their efforts of their thousands of stitches of love!
A wonderful plus on attending the “Showing” we got to see many of our friends who are residents or in short-stay therapy. To name a few, Tommy Waggoner, Sarah Henderson, Annie Hawthorne, Malcolm Anderson, Joyce and Albert Frazier, Mondell Williamson, Dora Nell Lindsey, Ollie McCurdy and Dana Moore. When I visit this facility I can see that each worker shows that they care for each resident and are so attentive and kind. Another thing, Residents always speak well of their food and treatment!
(Copied). SO, I got my concealed gun permit yesterday. — and I went over to the local Bass Pro Shop to get a small 9mm pistol for protection. When I was ready to pay for the gun and bullets the cashier said “STRIP DOWN! FACING ME”. — Making a mental note to complain to the NRA about the “gun control” wackos running amok, I did as she instructed! When the hysterical shrieking and alarms finally subsided, I found she was referring to how I should place my CREDIT CARD in the card reader. I’ve been asked to shop elsewhere in the future. THEY need to make their instructions to SENIORS a “little clearer”. — I still don’t think I looked that bad!!
A stunning report came out about Oregon this week! Only 7 percent of their population is affiliated with a church. It ranks in the top of the “least religious states in the country.” People in the Northwest have been pictured as spiritual, but not religious! When asked what they revere or hold sacred, many of them describe themselves as lovers of nature, human interaction, love, respect, wilderness, mediation, the moon, community or don’t know, still searching. They focus on the importance of community, art and music and feeding the hungry.
Another Christian Faith based movie just came out on 3/16 “I Can Only Imagine” and is in most theatres now. It is a beautiful picture of the transforming power of the gospel and rated PG. It is by the same people that produced “God’s Not Dead.” I understand that it is very good and Kleenex required. Can’t wait to go see it!
Have a blessed week and share it!
