Social Security Double Standard?
Paul Ryan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, is the person who proposed raising the retirement age on Social Security. It was changed for everyone but the ones that made the rule. Now he announced his retirement at age 48. — with full Government Pension.
Did you see the news where a vehicle travelled down a busy freeway while driving in reverse gear? It was driving fast and managed to get off an exit without causing him or others to collide. Reportedly, his transmission went out and reverse was only direction he could travel in. Would have panicked if I had been near driving there!
EBC NEWS: VBS “Game On” was a huge success. Our average daily attendance was approximately 155 children and adults. Lemon dump cake; (1) container lemon pie filling, (1/2) box of dry cake mix (1) 4oz. Cream cheese, cut in small blocks, other (1/2) box of dry cake mix and (1) stick margarine dotted on top. Layer in Pyrex dish in order given and bake 350 degrees oven till browned on top.
Recycling is a big deal in most large metropolitan areas. The most recent item is used chewing gum. Gum being thrown on sidewalks or stuck on outside surfaces is such an expensive project to undertake getting it off. One city said it takes weeks to clear it just in a small area. This recycling is said to save millions in clean up cost. They place receptacles around for dropping it in. This is used in products like tires.
I had a prayer answered almost immediately on Saturday afternoon. When I pulled out in the road I prayed, “Dear God, please send the rain.” Not but about two miles passed until I had to turn my wipers on. When I got back home it looked like I didn’t get a drop of the more than an inch that fell close by! I should have finished my prayer with “Dear God, please send the rain to my place."” I did get the benefit of cooler temperature. God is good, all the time!
God closes a door and opens a window. But you have to stop staring at the closed door in order to notice it!
