Thanks to all law enforcement!
A big “Thank You” to all Men and Women of Law Enforcement! We support you and recognize your daily sacrifice and brave acts!
It was very disturbing to see the video of the Forest Hill Band’s half time production this past week! For those that did not see it, it was a dramatic scene where some students were using a toy gun to shoot a cop. It was more disturbing that they did this in Brookhaven where this city was mourning the loss of two of their own law officers.
Mississippi Action of Chief of Police put out a rather long statement condemning this. This is just one paragraph out of their statement. “It is never okay for students to participate in something that defiles and desecrates a law enforcement officer. The adults here should have known better and the lesson we wish to take from this is that there are consequences for actions.”
I understand this band can not participate in any contest and that the director has been put on administrative leave! I am sure we will hear more in the coming days about this.

You had to have been out of the country, or under a rock, not to know about the Judge Brett Kavanaugh fight that just ended Saturday night. “It has been noted that in the last election 54 Million Evangelical Christians stayed home. If Christians will simply show up and vote our values, we’ll turn this country around.” (Ted Cruz)

“I’ve entered the ‘snapdragging’ part of my life. Part of me has snapped and the other part is dragging!” (Copyied)
Tip for the week. “If you add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to the water while boiling eggs, the shell will come right off when peeling.”
“Go to church Sunday! If Jesus can rise from the dead, you can rise from your bed!”
My prayer for you, that you’d make time today for your heart to be quite before God — letting Him remind you of all the times he has rescued you, provided for you and cared for your family! May thankfulness bubble over in you!
Have a blessed week.
