Hooray! First part of election done!
All that's left of this first round of Mid-year elections is history as you are reading this! After the run-off some will be celebrating while others, I feel sure, will be crying “foul.” There is no way everybody can be pleased of the final outcome. No matter what, let’s be part of the group that accepts the outcome and supports it and move forward. There’s always a next time!
“We cannot bring a pocket knife on a plane, but we should let 7,000 foreigners walk across our borders with unchecked backpacks? If there is a homeless child in America — we have no room for illegals aliens!”

“HEART TOUCHING FUN!” “The IRS returned my tax form to me this year after, I apparently answered one of the questions incorrectly to the question ‘Do You Have Anyone Dependent on you?’ I wrote, ‘9.5 million illegal immigrants, 1.1 Million crackheads, 3.4 Million unemployable scrounges, 80,000 criminals in 85 prisons — PLUS 650 idiots in Washington.’ IRS stated UNACCEPTABLE. I then wrote back ‘Who Did I Leave Out?’”
Helen Cox had this delicious dessert at “Young at Heart” recently and it was one I am anxious to try: Sweet Potato Dumplings —(2) cans crescent rolls, (1) pkg. sweet potato patties, (2) cups sugar, (2) cups water, 1 & 1/2 sticks butter, (1) teaspoon vanilla, (1) tablespoon cornstarch, cinnamon. Unroll and separate triangles of crescent rolls, (cut potato patties in half) place each half on the wide end of triangles and roll up tucking ends. Place these in 8 x 8 glass baking dish. Combine water, sugar and cornstarch, mixing good, and add butter. Heat this until it is all dissolved. Pour liquid over rolled triangles and sprinkle desired amount of cinnamon over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
Have a blessed week!
