Kiss April goodbye with record tornadoes!
I read where, in the month of April, we have had 60 tornadoes! This past week the “Light House” Senior Residential Home in Madden, MS was the latest victim of a damaging storm. None of its 43 residents or workers were injured but property damage was extensive. All residents were relocated until repairs could be completed. We all are rejoicing with them that they were all safe from injury! God is good, all the time.
This past week residents of north Ephesus Road experienced a scary situation. Reportedly, a robbery occurred in another area. The alleged perpetrators followed the victims and shots were fired at an automobile. The suspects tried to get away, but ran out of gas. They then hit the wooded area, on foot, but were later apprehended. (This is not official details.) Things like this used to happen away from our homes but now we are not safe in our own backyards.
I would like to congratulate New Liberty Baptist Church for an extraordinary hosting of the “Road to Calvary.” They reported over 800 got to view this and some turned back because of the crowd. Easter and Christmas brought out record numbers in attendance. Wouldn’t it be a blessing if we could get these same people to attend on a regular basis? That leaves each church member the responsibility of being the hands and feet of Jesus to visit and witness to those people!
“I signed up for an exercise class and was told to ‘wear loose fitting’ clothing. If I had any ‘loose fitting’ clothing, I wouldn’t have signed up to begin with!” (Old timers)
I love to work in my yard! Getting on my Hustler zero turn mower gives me an unexplained feeling of joy. The reward is certainly worth the time spent. I have just learned a secret to keep gnats from pestering and biting. Rub some vanilla flavoring on exposed areas and this will possibly keep them off. (This was passed on by a dental assistant when I was having work done. She said, “yard work helped her when she was getting over her bout with breast cancer,”

(Joke) Two hours into a flight, the pilot gets on intercom “we just lost an engine. It’s alright — we have three more but it will take us two hours longer.” A half hour later: “We just lost another engine. Don’t worry, we still have two more engines but it will take us another two hours, though.” In the back a passenger rolls her eyes. “Great,” she says to her seat mate “If we lose the last two engines, we’ll be up here all day!”
If any of you are a movie fan, I can attest that the Christian movie “Breakthrough” is a great movie. It shows what the power of prayer can do. It is now on in the Jackson area.

“It’s a sad in America when an American President has to fight American government to protect American people!”
Joke: “My, How You Have Changed.” One day my mother ran into a woman who said they had gone to high school together. My Mom insisted she didn’t remember her. So the woman came to our house with her yearbook. She pointed out her photo and then my Mother’s “well, of course I didn't recognize you!” Mom said, “you were pretty back then!”
Have a blessed week and enjoy the sunshine and beauty of spring.
