In the Wild Bible School
Ephesus Baptist is hosting an outreach “In The Wild Bible School” Saturday, 7/13, from 10 AM until 3:00 PM on Pistol Lane at the Tommy Williams Mobile Home Park. This is located off Russell Community Road. This road starts at Old Highway 80 East and ends at Ringgold Road. This is geared for ages K-6 and up.
This Friday is our Senior Lunch. Bring your favorite dish and join us at 11:30 AM for food and fellowship!

I promised myself last winter, that I would not complain about hot weather. But this heat is so unbearably hot, I don’t think my promise is broken. We still have to be thankful. We could be having earthquakes and tremors like California. There is always a bright side to every situation. We just have to find it.
Kids now days pretty much get what they want. I notice in Wal-Mart most of them have a toy when their family is checking out. My generation grew up being told “Use it up, wear it out. Make it do or do without!”
I saw a work truck that had a sign that caught my attention. “Don't Steal My Tools! I need them to hep pay for Your Benefits!”
The world’s smallest baby on record, born at 8.6 ounces, goes home happy. After (5) months of incubation, a girl, believed to be the tiniest survivor, has been sent home from the hospital in San Diego. She was born just 23 weeks in gestation! The nurse said she is a “Miracle Baby for sure.”
Back in 1956, Nikita Khrushchev, Soviet statesman who led the Soviet Union during the Cold War made the following statement. “We will take America without firing a shot. We will bury you! We can’t expect American people to jump for Capitalism or Communism, but we can assist their leaders in giving them a small dose of Socialism until they awaken one day to find they have Communism! We do not have to invade the U.S., we will destroy you from within!” (From an address to Western Ambassadors at the Polish Embassy in Moscow, November 18, 1956.). My opinion, remember this if you are thinking of voting for a presidential candidate who is a Socialist. Remember the above statement and ask yourself, would it be good for our country?)

Recipe for Watermelon Salsa
Ingredients: 1/2 of Seedless watermelon, or remove seeds from regular melon. Chop into bite size pcs; 1/4 cup red onion, 1/8 cup red bell pepper, 1/8 cup yellow bell pepper,1/2 of jalapeño pepper --all peppers and onion to be finely diced! 2 limes juiced, 1/4 cup cilantro chopped then salt and pepper to taste.
Directions - Mix all ingredients together in mixing bowl and let sit in refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
