Sad times in U.S.A.
The numerous shootings, over the last few days, show that innocent people are not safe anywhere. Children with parents, picking out school clothes and supplies, being killed in Wal-Mart makes me question how could anyone have so much hatred to do this? The only answer seems to be demon possessed by radical extremist!
At least 20 dead, 26 wounded, lone suspect in custody after shooting rampage in an El Paso Wal-Mart. An uidentified person wrote the following. “Pray for families of the dead; pray for those injured; pray for that small community that will never be the same; pray for the twisted world where children are shot while back to school shopping. May God have mercy on our souls!”
EBC NEWS: Revival Services beginning next Sunday, 8/11-14, Evangelist Bro. Paul Smith: Music Leader: Bro. James Jolly: Sunday worship at 11am and 6pm and Monday-Wednesday at 7pm. A “Blessing of Backpacks” was held in Children’s Church and a special prayer was given by our Pastor, Bro. Chris Harrison for all School Teachers, Administrators, School Bus Drivers, all supportive school personnel and parents.
It has been proven that reading to children six to seven days a week puts them almost a year ahead of those that are not read to.

Hearing Aids To Reduce Risk Of Cognitive Decline. Researches in Bordeaux, France conducted a study, followed 3,670 adults, ages 65 and older, over a 25 year period. The study indicates that people with hearing loss, who wear hearing aids have the same risk for age-related cognitive decline as people without hearing loss. In easier understandable terms, while it is well established that untreated hearing loss can lead to an acceleration of cognitive problems. The above study is the first to show that wearing hearing aids actually reduce cognitive decline associated with hearing loss.
This study should be a wake-up call for people considering doing something about their hearing loss but have been delaying. It’s not about hearing well today; it’s about the long-term effects of hearing loss. (Sources: Businesswire.com;Brainhearing.com)
A law was recently passed making hearing aids more affordable. They can be bought online and in some drugstores. The price has changed from thousands of dollars to just a few hundred dollars.
President Trump signed a bill to allow veterans to go outside of the system for their health care. Patients can seek care from private physicians, if they want to bypass the troubled V.A. system. Some veteran advocates, such as Concerned Veterans of America, praise the administration’s temporary push to extend these choices. They encourage lawmakers to continue searching for solutions to the V.A.’s ongoing struggles with long wait times. (Washington Examiner)

Every 2020 Democratic Presidential hopeful voted to block Newborn Care for newborn abortion survivors. The bill would have required doctors to provide care for newborns who survived abortions. Pro life organizations plan to make this a part of 2020 elections.
