October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October has been set aside, for the campaign to create more awareness about breast cancer. This health campaign was organized by thousands of charities to increase and spotlight raising funds to create more research and spread the word about mammograms for early detection. “We campaign to stop women from dying from breast cancer and make sure everyone affected receives the best care possible! Finding out about the cancer signs and symptoms can help you understand what changes to look for. One in eight women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.” This cancer is now being found in some men and was recently diagnosed in a four year old girl! Wear pink now.
This deer bow season must be the hottest on record! I noticed a cartoon that had a hunter standing in a swimming pool with bow and arrow cocked waiting for a deer to come by! “Teach your boys to hunt and they’llre never be able to afford drugs!”
The NFL fined a football player $7,000 for wearing a headband that said “Man of God” across it. Are you kidding me? So, Kaepernick can wear pig socks that mock the police and players can kneel during the National Anthem, but expressing your faith is going too far? That’s crazy!
In 1965, Paul Harvey made a video “If I Were The Devil.” The devil has accomplished almost all of those promises.” You can go to YouTube online and see the full message! I have found that you can get instructions to do most anything by checking that website.
Did you see this past week that Chicago twin sisters, Tyra and Tia Smith, scored a perfect 4.0 grade point on all their classes? At graduation they shared Co-Valedictorian at Lindblom Math and Science Academy. They were awarded full College scholarships, but will attend different Universities.
EBC NEWS: Sunday was Pastor Appreciation Day. Bro. Chris Harrison was showered by some of the younger children with a “Love You Bro Chris” on the monitor, a money tree, and pot blessed meal. We have truly been blessed to have him and his family these past four years and look forward to many more! October 19th the Children’s Committee will be taking them to Mitchell Farms Pumpkin Patch. Parent must sign them up and children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

A blonde man shouts frantically into the phone, “My wife is pregnant and her contractions are two minutes apart!” Operator, “Is this her first child?” “No, he shouts, this is her husband!”
What can I do for you, Lord to let you know I care for all the things you have done, when I was in despair. I’m not gifted to sing a song, nor can I play a harp. I’m not eloquent in speech so, I ask you Lord, what can I do? Deep in my heart I heard Him say, Lift up your head and look at me and I will show you day by day.
Please continue to pray for the Crusade that Christians can be recharged, as we are similar to batteries in our religious life. Pray for the lost that they will find God and make Him a big part of their life!
Have a blessed week and looking forward to more fall type weather in our next few days!
