Thanksgiving was a special time for more than 50 Morton seasoned/senior citizens. They were treated to huge bags and baskets of Thanksgiving goodies including dressing, vegetables, ham/turkey, desserts and other foods for several enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday meals. These baskets, which were delivered to their homes, were made possible by volunteers at the Hines “Big Daddy” Lofton Community Center. Working to spread Thanksgiving cheer were Mr. Lofton’s widow, Mrs. Mary Lofton, Ms. Lora Reese and Ms. Teresa Ealy. Special thanks and kudos to these ladies for spreading love and cheer! They are preparing for Advent and Christmas deliveries, so watch out!
