Pray for students and teachers as semester starts

Sympathy is extended to the family of Nolen Sistrunk. I have known Nolen all my life, having grown up across the field from him and his family. Both Nolen and his brother J.T. were hard workers whose parents, Mr. Lavon and Ms. Mary, taught them the work ethic that became their signature later in life. Nolen will be greatly missed not only by his family but by the entire community.

For those who remember Jennie Lathem Schmitz whose parents are Festus and Oma Clark Lathem: Jennie passed away in Dallas, Texas, on December 22, 2019, at the age of 98. Jennie was the last of the Lathem cousins of the generation of my dad, Jim Lathem.

Bro. John McDonald will be bringing the message Sunday, January 11, at 10 a.m. at Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church. All are welcome to attend the services.

Remember teachers and students as they have begun the second and final semester of the 2019-2020 school year. Pray that it will be a profitable semester for all involved.
