What will you do with Jesus

This is Holy Week, culminating with Easter on Sunday. The Lt. Governor has asked that beginning on Monday, April 6, at 6 p.m. that all churches and individuals with bells ring them for one minute in support of all our medical personnel. They are to be rung through April 20 when the quarantine will be lifted. On Sunday (Easter) everyone is asked to go outside and lift up their hands in prayer at sunrise.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Paul Comans. Paul will be greatly missed in this community.

Although not from Sebastopol, sympathy is extended to the family of Ovid Vickers, long time English teacher at East Central Community College (or for those my age or older East Central Junior College).

Special happy birthday to Mr. Bill Abel on Easter Sunday. He is the patriarch of Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Happy birthday to the following: Ms. Dorazelle Creel, Ms. Audie Loper, Betty Maxey, Joyce Lathem, Edie Johnson, Quinton Davis, Amy Gomillion, Cindy Leach, Michelle Triplett, Keith McCraw, Tabitha Sullivan, Tonya Underwood, Bobby Wilson, Jimmy Gainey, Don Cook, Brandy Brooks.

Happy anniversary: Courtney and Chris Moore, Marilyn and Doyle Belk, Ashley and Cody Watkins.

Prayers and concern for the following people: Ann Clark,  Jim Grayson, Jennings Gilmore, Anna Price, Rodney Andrews, Marcia Bassett, Jerry Hardin, Pettey Brown, Hilda VanVickle, Dewayne McGaugh, Charles Lewis Knight, John Thrash, Sherry Thrash, Bro. Don Cook, Billy and Clara Brown, Karren Abel,  Charles Knight, Malinda Breedlove, Charles Cecil Thrash, Jimmy Dobbs, John Thrash, Hulon Hillman, Logan Skinner, Marilyn Coglan, Jeremy Corley, Jonathan Corley, Kim Kiddy, Hardy Maxey, Betty Wall, Willie Graham, Betty Maxey, Shelia Towner,  Barney and Mott Green, Kenneth Graham, Shelia Hedrick, Kameron Buffington, Kolby Buffington, Kemper Gomillion, Wyatt Gomillion, Shirley Boxx, Sada Sistrunk, Johnny Thrash.

Special prayers for those who are residing in nursing homes: Charles Breedlove, Dot Gainey, Frances Loper, Lucille Cox,  Syble Sistrunk, Dorzell Creel, Charles Cecil Thrash, Bro. Charles Morrow, Allie Mae Creel. Please pray for them during this trying time in the life of our society. If I have missed someone, please let me know: text to 601-507-1062 or email me at lindalcorley49@gmail.

Ladies the mid-week Bible study on the book of Philippians at Steam Mill Church is cancelled until further notice.

Since most church services are now cancelled, tune in to any number of online services. I have enjoyed so many from many different denominations. No excuse for no church service.

Thought to ponder: Pilate asked the people (Mark 15:12) “Then what shall I do with the man you call the King of the Jews?” The question today is “What will you do with Jesus?”

Stay at home people. The life you save may be that of the one you love dearly. If everyone does what is being asked, we can soon return to some sense of normalcy.
