By LINDA L. CORLEY,

Choose to be kind

Our small community has been overcome with grief over the last week or so. Please be in prayer for the McDill family as they laid to rest their beautiful little girl Madison (Madi) McDill and their mother and grandmother Connie Phillips. Pray for the children who are going back to school without their little friend and schoolmate. Pray for peace and comfort in the days to come for this family and for the community.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Tom (Pop) Underwood. Pop will be missed by the community and his pals from Duetts. Before he went to live at the Veterans Home in Kosciusko, Pop was a three times a day regular at Duetts.

Thought to ponder: “You will just never know what someone is dealing with behind closed doors. No matter how happy someone looks, how loud their life is, how big their smile is, there can still be a level of hurt that is indescribable. So be kind. Even when others are not, choose to be kind.”
