We enjoyed the Jackson Tougaloo Alumni Club Annual Scholarship Dance where members paid tribute to the late Alderman W. L. and Mrs. Olivia Kelley Slaughter Tuesday, December 26th at the Jackson Hilton on County Line. The Slaughter Legacy was honored and family, friends, and associates turned out to honor them in spite of the rainy and cold weather. Special thanks to friends and family who were present and to supporters who honored the Slaughters through advertisement tributes. This story is covered in another section of this publication.
