We enjoyed the Lenten Luncheons held last week at the Forest United Methodist and Forest Baptist Churches. All speakers were inspirational and delivered interesting and challenging Lenten and Easter messages.
We enjoyed spending Easter eve with former Forest resident, Mrs. Henrietta Horton and her daughters, Barbara and Sybil (Joe). She is still interested in the happenings in Forest and especially at the Senior Nutrition Meal Site. This 101-year-old matriarch attends the Clinton Adult Care Center every day.
The Concord M. B. Church family enjoyed Easter Sunrise Services where the sermonette was delivered by Pastor Henry Patrick. This year, Ms. Antonia Pinkston coordinated a special Easter play for the youth and their performances were enjoyed by all. A traditional and delicious Concord breakfast was enjoyed by all in attendance. Our youth are God’s blessings!
Easter blessings flowed as we visited Mrs. Helen Harris who is doing well and still sewing; Mrs. Viola Morgan who was enjoying her golf and basketball games; Mrs. Beverly Hollingsworth who is still playing Santa to all her friends; Mrs. Miriam Mejia who is excited about her budding flowers; Mrs. Wilana Price who was watching church services and Mrs. Naomi Williams who was resting at Lackey Convalescent Home; and Mrs. Kitty Colbert who was under the weather and thankful for her blessings.
