Congratulations Honor Band members
Today is a big change from last week concerning the weather, but we can only accept it and dress appropriately and be thankful.
I know for me and some of you, it seems this year came in with a lot of trials and sadness. But I believe that through it all God has a solid plan of blessings and growth in the midst of our struggles. We all grieve the loss of a loved one in our own specific way, but it is good to remember that God does not let us go through it alone. He is there to comfort and catch our tears (liquid love) in a bottle and protects it until we are prepared to receive them back as cherished memories; where we can smile at the thought of them and feel grateful to have had them in our lives for the time God loaned them to us!
“We can’t go back and change the beginning or the situations that took them; but we can start from here and now to change the ending.”
Allow God and the supporters He placed in your life to share the pain and walk through the valley with you.
Last week a concern of a lot of drivers about all the bike riders and walkers on Highway 35 became a feared reality as a young woman lost her life tragically. I hope that a solution is sought after by our leaders in the communities. We have to be very aware and alert in certain areas, and that is both for drivers and bikers and walkers. Respect each others mode of transportation.
My heart is filled with love and heartache for family members and friends who are like family as we have laid to rest some and are preparing to lay others to rest very soon.
We offer intercessory prayers for the Robinson, Moncrief, Lewis, Beamon, Anderson, and Holifield families.
“Life is but a stopping place, a place in what is to be. A resting place along the road to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way. We all were meant to learn something, but never meant to stay. Our destination is a place, far greater than we know. For some the journey is quicker, for some the journey slow. And when the journey finally ends, we will claim a great reward. And find an everlasting place together with the Lord.”
Our sick & shut-ins prayer list: Joel Hunt, Virginia Tucker, May Hunt, Andre Ealy, John Lee Evans, JoAnn Graffenread, Bobby Joe Harrison, Verbie Lyles, Larry Lofton, Oliver Holifield, Nancy Hughes, Linda Parrott, Addie Ree Knight, Sandra Odom, Jarutha Wilson, Joe Townsend, Shamica Young, Mr. T. Hayes, Maggie J. Stiles, David Parrott, Mary Smith, and all their caregivers.
The Lord is able to do just what He said He would do, so keep trusting and believing. He has never broken a promise yet!
Congratulations to Qwaishaun Spivey, Dominique, Yaelyn, Bryce, Brandon, and Aaron for a great job in the Scott County Honor Band! Representing Scott Central all the way!!!
