Do something worthwhile in life
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)
Do you sometimes feel like the world is against you? Like no matter how hard you try, nobody is pleased with you? If not, just hold on; sooner or later you will experience some form of rejection or ill will. Not everyone will like you or your actions. And I know it hurts, but we have to learn to handle it and move on gracefully!
Don’t get disillusioned; when that feeling hits you like a ton of bricks; give your hurt to God. Remember Jesus was rejected and despised, He can and will walk you through it. Just be humble and tell Him: Lord, I can’t please everyone all the time. I will concentrate on being a God pleaser and not a man pleaser. The rest I leave in Your hands, Lord. Grant me favor with You and with men, and continue transforming me into the image of Your Son. Thank You Lord.
On Sunday, Minister Larry Brewer delivered a moving morning message, coming from Luke 8:43-48; subject - “Anchored!” Question - Are you anchored, If so, what are you connected to? If your signal (faith) is getting weak, move to a higher location and connect to God which is the strongest anchor you can have.
Later that day we attended the 12th Year Anniversary of Rev. Timothy & First Lady Shelby Croff at Lone Pilgrim M. B. Church, where Rev. Jermaine Jones, Pastor of Mt. Zion M. B. Church in Conehatta, Ms. was the guest speaker. It was a spiritual celebration.
Our Prayer list: May Hunt, Catherine Shepard, Joel Hunt, Joe Townsend, Addie Ree Knight, Barbara “Winkie” Robinson, John Lee Evans, Josie Jones, JoAnn Graffenread, Robert Lee Derricks, James and Pearl King, Sandra Odom, Margie Haralson, Shirley Townsend, Mary Jones, Diane Chapman, Georgia McClendon, Chanelle McBeath, Mary Ickom, Verbie Lyles, and all the people affected by the flood waters.
We all stand in need of prayer, so Lord I ask for Your grace and mercy on this country and its leaders. Give them a heart of forgiveness and unity in love that surpasses all the petty stuff and the realization that it is not all about them.
This month is on its way out, but it leaves a lasting impression on all of us. But we are still here and let us do something worthwhile with the life and opportunities given us.
