Numerous Revivals in the coming weeks
Thanks to all who participated in the Great American Cleanup and thanks to Scott County Times for highlighting our efforts on the front page. There were others who were not pictured that helped in a tremendous way. We look forward to more participation in the future.
Mt. Camel Baptist Church of Sebastopol will host its Spring Revival this week. Guest speakers for the week will be Pastor TJ Dear, Pastor Jermaine Jones, and Pastor Shelton Thomas respectively.
Union Grove United Methodist Church will be hosting its Annual Men’s Day Program on Sunday, March 25. Afternoon guest speaker will be Pastor Sheldon Thomas of Little Rock M.B.C. Please come out and join us in this celebration.
Union Grove Baptist Church will be hosting its Usher Day Program on Sunday March 25 starting at 2 p.m.
Rising Chapel MBC of Good Hope will be celebrating its 7 Year Pastor Anniversary for Pastor James Patrick and Sister Dianne Patrick on March 25 at 2 p.m. Pastor Timothy Croff and the Lone Pilgrim Family will be the guest for the event.
Concord MBC will host its Spring Revival on March 26-28 starting at 7 p.m. each night. Pastor Willie Flowers of True Light MBC of Newton will be the guest speaker for the week.
There will be a Marriage Matters Seminar held at New Friendship Church on March 30 at 7 p.m. The event is hosted by Sister Lottie Towner and there will be panel advise from Pastor and Sister Willie Robinson, Pastor and Sister Calvin Smith and Pastor and Sister Shelton Thomas. Pleasant Hill MBC of Morton will be hosting its Spring Revival starting April 1 and continuing through April 6. Pastor A.C. Lewis of Mt. Olive MBC of Meridian will be the speaker for the week.
Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Lake will have its Spring Revival April 2-6 starting at 7 p.m. each night. Speakers for the week include Pastor Michael Pickens, Pastor Rodney Young, Pastor Darrell Owens, Pastor Millsap and Pastor Dewayne Bloodsaw.
Sylvester/Union Grove UMC will begin daytime Adult Bible Study on April 4. The Bible Study is slated for Senior Citizen, those who don’t drive at night and those who work at night. You are welcomed to attend. It will start off the first month at Sylvester UMC.

Happy Anniversary to Mitch and Annie Sue and Paul and Josie. And 81st birthday to Sister Lillie Ree Shepherd.
Worship Service at Sylvester UMC on Sunday was great. Our Pastor spoke from Deuteronomy 32:4-6 and the subject was “Is This How You Treat Your God?” As I reflected, I need to treat my God better. And I also realized the we tend to take the people that love and care for us the most for granted and this is the exact opposite of what God wants us to do. So, we need to start treating God like he gave his only Son for us to live in abundance.
