Christmas Program is December 8
I pray that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Union Grove/Sylvester will have bible class tonight. Daytime Bible Study will resume on December 5 at Sylvester UMC.
Just a reminder that we have service at Union Grove every 2nd and 4th Sunday and at Sylvester every 1st and 3rd Sunday. Sunday School at each church every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Bible Study will be at Union Grove UMC for the month of November. We have Health and Wellness Class on Mondays and Thursdays at 6. This month will also be at Union Grove.
I would like to take this time out to invite you and your family to come worship and study with us, especially the youth of our community. Our churches offer a variety of areas that youth can participate in such as choir, usher, praise dance, volunteering and our youth also participate in activities at other churches and go on educational trips. So, if you know of any child or family that needs a good, I mean great, church family, please contact me for more information.
Our church will be visiting Bedford Care Nursing Home on Saturday. Please remember those who are confined to nursing homes and other care away from their families, during the holiday season.
We will also host our Annual Christmas Program on December 8, 2018. There will be a play titled “The King’s Birthday”. You all are welcomed to attend. Sylvester will host 5th Sunday Worship Service on December 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
Sherman Hill UMC will host a Christmas Benefit Concert on December 15. Lodena Holifield’s 2018 Christmas Gala hosted by Sis. Diane Robinson at Rasch One on One on Hwy. 501 will be on Saturday, December 8 at 4 p.m. Attire is formal and the cost is $25 per ticket.
