October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Scott County Girl Scouts are hosting the Pink Walk at Gaddis Park this Saturday, October 11 starting at 8 am. Please come out and support our Girls Scouts and promote Breast Cancer Awareness.
Mount Hebron Primitive Baptist Church will host its Annual Men’s Day Program starting at 1:30 pm on Sunday, October 13. All men are invited and encouraged to wear black attire.
October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The parent of Latasha Norman, a student killed by an abusive boyfriend in 2007, will be speaking at “Battered But Not Broken” at 652 Marquette Rd. In Brandon, MS. The theme is heeling into my destiny. Jeans and heels are the attire. A great event for women and young girls to attend.
Mt. Hebron Primitive Baptist Church will also begin its Annual Fall Revival on Sunday, October 27 at 2 pm.
Patrick Community Center will be hosting its Annual Haunted House on Oct. 12, Oct. 19 and Oct. 26. The address is 323 Water Tank Rd., it will be from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and admission for each person is $5.
