The Chicago National Democratic Convention was first class from the beginning to the end! It was filled with excitement, lots of familiar faces, and many bright, determined new faces ready to secure the challenge of democracy. There were former U.S. Presidents, Governors, Attorneys General, Senators, Representatives, musical legends like Stevie Wonder, movie and television stars, and many delegates from every state and reflective of diversity.
We enjoyed the reception, at the Fellowship Hall of Midway Baptist Church, for Attorney Ty Pinkins who has offered his services for the United State Senate in the upcoming November 5th election. Rev. Wesley Griffin’s sermon was most informative and inspiring. We appreciate the invitation from Mrs. Patty Ward Odom to share in these activities.
