There were LOTS of Rebels in Oxford last Saturday for the College Football Playoff game between Tulane and Ole Miss. Among those who were in attendance for the historic victory were Dr. John Paul Lee, Mike Lee, John Lee, Billy Frank Alford, Matt Alford, Noble, Paula and Roy Noble Lee, Scott Palmer, Allen and Jack Breland, Bill and Angie Dykeman, Darrell Brown, Keith Brown, Kevin Brown and Lee McCarty. We understand there are many who are now making Sugar Bowl plans....we want to hear from you!!
Marianna and Brian Hoff of New York City arrived in Forest on Saturday for a Christmas week visit in the home of Marianna’s parents, Mitzi and Allen Breland. They were joined on Sunday by their Tennessee family members, Jack, Megan, Mac, Marty and Edith Breland of Memphis.
Scott Palmer was in Oxford for the College Football Playoff weekend. He was joined for the game on Saturday by Will, Amy, William and Catherine Threadgill of Memphis, Tennessee.
John David’s family came over to join Jackie Calhoun’s family for an early Christmas dinner, serving about 45, and making many more memories!!
Barbara Gatewood spent the week of Christmas in Olive Branch in the home of Gayla and Shane Steed She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and new great-grandbaby!!
Joining the McKibbens (Sims/Roper) family in Black Mountain, North Carolina after Christmas was Harper Duffy of Fairhope, Alabama, who flew to Asheville following her family’s Christmas gathering in Lexington, Kentucky, to attend two more basketball games. Harper and her family, Duff and Jada Duffy and sister Nyla Duffy joined Loren McKibbens and the Sims family in Knoxville, the weekend before Christmas, to watch Spence Sims’ team play at the University of a Tennessee. All were impressed with the top of the line facilities.
