SO HAPPY that Forest escaped the ravages of Fern but are so sorry to see the damage and destruction in north Mississippi. What a horrific ice storm!! We are hearing reports from folks who went without power for over a week — and some who went without water for several days. We learned during Katrina how difficult it is to manage without water.
Dr. Jimmy and Sharon Hollingsworth were recently in Puerto Rico for several days for the American Dental Association Board of Trustees retreat and meeting. There was beautiful warm weather and gorgeous scenery. They enjoyed getting to know all of the trustees and spouses.
Our thoughts, prayers and best wishes go to Lib Hill who has had yet another surgery on her leg recently and is now recuperating at Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Center in Madison. We hope to see you back in Forest soon, Lib!!!
Sharon Hollingsworth, Anita Nettles and Ray Ezelle spent several days recently in Perdido Key, Florida. While they were there, they were able to attend the memorial service for Richard Clarke in Daphne, Alabama. They were glad to get to visit with Joe and Penny Clarke, Kitty Clarke and other family members. Many of you will remember the late (Joe and) Mildred McCravey Clarke, whose family lived in Forest for generations.
Gayla Steed of Olive Branch arrived in Forest last Tuesday for a visit with her mother, Barbara Gatewood.
Congratulations to Abby Hollingsworth of Jackson on her invitation to join the Junior League of Jackson. Proud of you!
Hardy McCormick has recently had a cardiac stent. He appreciates all the calls, texts, and especially prayers from so many.
Thank to those who have sent news. It is most appreciated. Please send your news to us at lmckibbens@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
