Allen and Mitzi Breland spent Labor Day weekend at their Oxford home and enjoyed having Jack, Megan, Mac and Marty Breland of Memphis, Tennessee, join them for the Mercer football weekend.

Always a fun time when special friends and former classmates like Bubby Johnston, Clark Gordin and Frank Sturrup get together. Lunch at The Reef in Biloxi was very good, as usual. They insist the she crab dip was excellent, as well! Makes me want to try it, too!!
Barbara Gatewood is all smiles announcing the birth of her first great grandchild, Arthur Charles Scott. “Archie,” son of Jon and Aubrey Scott of Bradenton, Florida, has definitely arrived healthy, and with his great granddaddy, Lamar’s blond hair! Congratulations to proud grandparents, Alicia and Tom Joyner.
Prayers have been with the little family (and many other Forest friends also nearby), as a hurricane was predicted to go through the Tampa Bay Area!
Thank goodness Merril Mitchell’s daughter, Marlana Benton and husband Micah Lochner are safe following what could have been a recent near fatal accident on the interstate. God truly had his arms around the young family, as they hydroplaned on the interstate. They reported the car did a few spins, and slid down into the woods. Luckily, they were all unharmed — as well as their vehicle.
Loren McKibbens and Missy M. Roper enjoyed being with Loren Jane Roper last week, as they set up her dorm room for her junior year at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia.
