Book Signing The hard and the Beautiful
Life living in a family of seventeen childen: Roger Hines, Forest native, has written a book on what it was like growing up with 16 brothers and sisters. It was released on July, 2026. He will be sharing this at a book signing on Thursday, September 11, from 10:00 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Cat’s Cave, in Forest. (From a personal view, I knew part of these family members, growing up, also working with his sister, Janelle Hines Brown, Bob Brown’s wife, at Sunbeam manufacturing facility in Forest.) Hope to see you there!
Crooked Letter Kitchen in Pelahatchie has been awarded the “Best in MS. for 5 years in a row.”. . and . . “Best in Rankin County” for 2 years in a row. They are located next to EZ Wheels and across from ERA School. Jon and Kimberly Beard are owners and they have, what they call, “their menu based on very created dishes.” It has been such a great success at Pelahatchie location, they now have a location at 1012 Hugh Ward Blvd, Flowood. Congratulations to them! (They can accommodate up to 500 people and they cook food in a truck sitting outside.)
Walmart in Meridian was on a lockdown, this past week. A van was parked, in the parking lot, and was suspected of a possibility of having bomb material inside. Employees were placed outside in the back and store and parking lot was emptied. Many Law enforcement people were there, waiting for Homeland Security to arrive! A man on FB complained because they wouldn’t let him get inside to work!
Flowers while we are here! Isn’t it strange how far we will travel for the dead yet how seldom we won’t walk across the street for the living. Let’s not wait until someone is gone to remind them they are loved? Let’s build a world where kindness is displayed!
URGENT WARNING: If you are approached by several people, while you’re out shopping, wanting to let you smell some perfume, that will save you money, DON’T SMELL IT! Their motive is to get you to smell a Knockout Drug! They will then steal your car and possibly carry you off with them!
Stop looking for the perfect church! Go worship a God with a congregation of flawed people who need grace as much as you do.
Thank you Father God for the gift of life! Bless the work of our hands and forever bless our plans. Have blessed week.
