Dedicated to give information about Entergy
“Based on reports from late January, Hunter Anderson, a 24-year-old Entergy lineman from Mississippi, suffered severe, life threatening injuries after being electrocuted while restoring power following an ice storm in Louisiana. He came in contact with approximately 7,000 volts of electricity. The shock went through his right arm, across his chest and exited through his left shoulder, causing severe burns over 36% of his body.
Rescue and Medical Care: Due to treacherous, icy road conditions, emergency first responders had to clear a landing area in a parking lot to airlift him to a burn unit in Shreveport, La. He underwent multiple surgeries, including fasciotomies to relieve pressure on his arms and remove damaged tissue.
He has shown progress, is off the ventilator and is conscious, though he faces a long recovery. A GoFundMe has been established for his medical expenses and support.” (Please keep him and his family in diligent prayers.)
MISSISSIPPI NEWS: “Not sure “THANK YOU” will be enough for the tough men out there working in these brutal conditions to get things back to normal. But seriously, THANK YOU! Y’all are showing up in the cold, the dark and the dangerous conditions without hesitation. Your hard work, sacrifice and dedication does not go unnoticed. We are beyond grateful!”
Entergy has approximately 50,000 customers — more than 80% of those are impacted by the storm!
