Holy Week at the
White House
“The White House marked Holy Week with something that hasn’t been seen in years — a full week of prayers and public worship!
President Trump participated in multiple events centered on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The White House Luncheon took place in the East Room, attended by senior cabinet members, faith leaders and pastors. A Catholic Mass was scheduled for Wednesday evening in the Indian Treaty Room. Rev. Franklin Graham, Bishop Roberts Brown Barron and Pastor Paula White were among those leading prayers. The President was expected to issue a formal proclamation honoring Holy Week and post a video message celebrating Easter on social media.
White House spokesperson, Taylor Roger’s stated that billions of Christians across the country celebrated Jesus Christ’ conquering death, freeing us from sin and unlocking the gates of Heaven. He said that President Trump is proud of Americans during this blessed holiday.
For years the White House has treated Easter as an after thought or replaced with something else entirely. This week has changed and scripture says in Corinthians 15:20 “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.” What does this mean to you? (Holy week#Trump)!!
I only copied main parts, but I felt it necessary share. I thank our God for allowing us to have a President who believes and shares his faith!
Have a blessed and safe week!
