Facts about Mississippi sweet potatoes: The Sweet Potato Counsel has released some interesting facts about Mississippi sweet potato growers: “$120 million economic value to the state; Rates 2nd in sweet potato acreage; 172 farms produce about 420 million pounds of sweet potatoes annually.” And, sweet potatoes are excellent source of vitamins C, A, B, and Choline —this tames inflammation and is usually found in meats and eggs; they are beneficial for a good nights sleep, learning, memory, muscle movement and balanced with other nutrients. ( Plus I like them just for their taste!)

California Governor, Gavin Newson, vetoed a bill Friday that would have allowed illegal immigrants to access state funds in helping buy a home, citing “finite funding.” The State Legislature approved the Bill and sent it the Governor’s desk last week. Banks can legally provide mortgages to undocumented migrants, but do so infrequently.
On 8/25 I had an “Open House - Blessing” for my new lakeside house. I would like to thank each person that came, our Pastor, Bro Chris Harrison, who prayed the blessing. The ladies that were “Host” of the refreshments and my family for making this a memorable day.
