Walmart CEO, John Furner, Announced “Growing theft has grown to a significant problem overt the past few years. In 2022 retail theft losses of $112 Billion dollars, compared to $93.4 Billion the previous year — according to the National Retail Federation. Theft can be tied to self check out, where shoppers can simply neglect while scanning. Only 33% were caught and 21% customers of those who said they accidentally missed checking articles.
They have partnered with with Digimar, which can see a code, invisible to the human eye, which makes it easier to detect at self check machines.”
Last week I had an article about Milton and Rose Creel and their desperate need for a safer dwelling. I did not explain that Milton has had three heart attacks, wears a life vest, is legally blind and cannot stay by himself at any time. They purchased a tiny metal house, but it is not finished on the inside. Janet Culpepper, my daughter, is spearheading getting donated labor, donated articles or funds to finish the inside so they can have a safe and warm place before winter sets in. (A few days ago the floor in their old travel trailer bursted and Milton fell through. It now has a piece of plyboard covering the hole.) Janet’s address is 1534 Ephesus Road, Forest, Ms.
Having a son or a daughter, who is there for you for good times and bad, is one of the blessings from God! If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money can’t buy.
It’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt.
The older I get, the earlier it gets late. I had my patience tested, I’m negative!
Wintertime is right around the corner. Young couples today don’t know that during the late1960’s, mother’s use to rinse dirty cloth diapers in the toilet, squeeze the water out and put them in a diaper pail. (That wasn’t nearly as bad as hanging them out outside on the clothesline.)
Heavenly Father, please make a way through the difficult circumstances in our lives. You parted the Red Sea in a miraculous way. You are still the same Lord and the same waymaker as you always have been. Strengthen us us to walk through the paths that you open up and help us do mighty things with you and for you. Be glorified in our lives. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Have a blessed week and share with others!
