Inauguration Over Work Started
I sat through the entire ceremony last week and enjoyed hearing the plans to bring a halt to the many, many things that we have endured in the past! God, please bless and protect all that are working to help make America great again! (Carrie Underwood stepped up to the plate, to sing and was advised she would not have a sound tract. She took the microphone in hand and her words were “I love our country and I am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call, at a time we must all come together, in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.” She did an outstanding job of singing! Billy Rae Cyrus experienced the same technical issues at the Inaugural Ball.
There have been many comments on how people were dressed. Without a doubt to me, Melania Trump was “Best dressed” and John Fetterman, from Pennsylvania, was “Worst dressed”. Casually dressed in gray shorts, black hoodie and sneakers that starkly contrasted.
This past week, our area missed predictions on snow and ice. We were blessed to only have fridged temperatures. Pictures of our coast line areas were white and slick and relatives of mine who live in Florida were enjoying their winter wonderland. (Comments: “Did you know that the Mississippi River, between 1831 and 1923, has frozen several times, so that people could walk across it? It was in the Northern parts of the river. It’s less common now due to climate change and man made structures.)
In the year of 1957: When I started driving, who would have thought gasoline would someday cost 29 cents? Guess we would be better off leaving the car in the garage; No one can afford going to the hospital anymore. $35.00 a day in the hospital is too rich for my blood; If they raise minimum wage to $1.00 an hour, we won’t be able to afford outside help. I experienced this recently. I made a $400 charge and put my credit card up to pay, the office worker said, “If you have cash or check you can save $25.” I had one blank check - thank goodness. Lesson learned!
A man shared his secret in his marriage: I make the BIG decisions and she makes the small ones. No BIG decisions yet!
Tornadoes, fires, earthquakes, low temperatures, high temperatures, wars and plaques are spreading over more area’s and others more serious. Little by little, the world is realizing that the Bible is not a fairy tale. “Jesus is coming back!” Matthew 24 - 6 and 7. DO YOU BELIEVE?
Have a God blessed week!
