Advance ticket sales are underway now for the expected Friday night sellout game between the Forest Bearcats and the Scott Central Rebels. Tickets will be available at Forest High School through Thursday and at Scott Central until noon Friday. Tickets are $8 and must be presented at the gate for admittance.
The Bearcats thrilled fans with a big Homecoming victory last Friday night over Northeast Lauderdale. The ‘Cats claimed the 23-6 win to move to 4-0 on the season.
Scott Central, on the other hand, suffered their first loss of the season on the road at Leake Central. The Gators downed the Rebels in hard fought 49-36 battle. The Rebels will host the Bearcats with kick-off set for 7:00 p.m.
The Sebastopol Bobcats are the only remaining undefeated team among the county schools after shutting out Southeast Lauderdale 35-zip last Friday night at home. The Bobcats host Leake County this week where they will put their perfect record on the line against the 0-4 Gators who lost 40-22 to Enterprise last week.
The Lake Hornets improved to 2-2 on the season last week with a close 16-14 win on the road at Choctaw Central. The Hornets host Union Friday night. The Yellow Jackets come to Death Valley with a perfect 4-0 record having defeated Newton County in a close 49-45 match up last week.
Also celebrating Homecoming last Friday night the Morton Panthers dropped a heartbreaker in overtime to Yazoo County. The Panthers fell 64-62 and drop to 2-2 for the season.
This week the Panters hope to improve that record when they travel to Pelahatchie to take on the Chiefs who are now 0-4 having lost to Richland 35-7 last week.
