Karley Parker of Lake , Aaron Baker of Forest, Tate Emmons of Lake, and Madalyn Walton of Lake recently served as pages for the Mississippi House of Representatives. Pages generally run errands for officials and House staff.
Parker ,17, is the daughter of Brad and Michele Parker, and she is a junior at Lake High School. Baker, 12, is the son of Chris and Emily Baker, and he is in the seventh grade at Hawkins Middle School. Emmons, 12, is the son of Joey and Natalie Emmons, and he is in the seventh grade at Sebastopol Attendance Center. Walton, 17, is the daughter of Rodney and Amanda Walton, and she is a junior at Lake High School. They were all sponsored by Rep. Tom Miles.
When asked about her week, Parker said, “Having the opportunity to serve as a page was an experience to never forget. I would love to page again in the future.”
“I have enjoyed being a page so much,” added Emmons. “I have gotten the ability to meet many people and can not wait to come back next year!”
Walton said, “Serving as a page was an incredible experience, I can not wait to come back next year.”
“Being a page in the House of Representatives has been so enjoyable,” said Baker. “ It has been a great learning opportunity.”
