Mr. Manning Levoy “Joe” Wicker age 79, passed away Thursday September 24, 2020 at his residence in Lake, MS. A visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Monday September 28, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. A graveside service was held on Monday September 28, 2020 at Hopewell Baptist Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Dr. David Rives, Brother Mark McDonald and Brother Robert Hallman officiated.
Mr. Wicker was a lifelong resident of Homewood, MS. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Lake, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt. He was the rock of the family and he taught his boys and grandsons how to be strong and how to be men.
He is preceded in death by his parents; William Manning and Mildred Wicker.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Faye Wicker of Homewood, MS; two children, Joey Wicker of Florence, MS and Ladell Wicker of Florence, MS; his sister, Joyce Clair of South Dakota; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jason Parkman, Kevin Harris, Janssen Parkman, Heath Clark, Jason Palmer and Warren Bearry.
