The Repentance
The history of humanity has always unfolded in an environment where both good and evil exist.
This means that in Christianity, violence, both verbal and physical, involving aggression and a complete absence of peace and love, is a sin. It is the presence of evil and always leads to negative consequences, not only for the individual but also for the surrounding society. However, the person or persons guilty of the sin have the opportunity to become aware of what they have done and repent, either personally or as a result of the judicial punishment imposed by society. It is incomprehensible that a Christian would not repent of their sins. Christ says the following about this: “Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:7 SEV
A sinful state is a state of separation and estrangement from God, and this happens when we misuse our thoughts and the powers of our soul. In that case, we are misusing our time and wasting the many opportunities that life gives us to properly nourish our soul and spirit. We must not forget that worldly things do not provide this kind of nourishment, and if we do not receive it, we will easily become servants and slaves of the devil, completely dependent on the flesh, which will leave us discontented if we do not possess it. The riches of the world and the pleasures of the senses are not food for the soul, but rather a poison that nourishes the flesh and destroys the soul.
Repentance also involves remorse for the sin committed and a desire not to repeat it, turning to God for salvation, since our faith in Christ is very important. When the Apostle Paul traveled to Macedonia, he sent a message from Miletus to Ephesus with the elders: “And when they came to him, he said to them: “You yourselves knew I lived among you the whole time from the first day I set foot in Asia, serving the Lord with with all humility and with tears and with trials that happened to me through the plots of the Jews, how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house, testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.” Acts 20:18-21 ESV
Repentance is not an exceptional or isolated event. As God guides us, we need to repent of our sins, knowing that this will have positive effects and unimaginable results.
May God bless you.
